We’ve all seen them. You’re pushing a shopping cart or walking through a store and you come across a display in the aisle or on the counter. Maybe it’s a display of batteries, or greeting cards. Maybe it’s a seasonal push at a retail store. Or maybe it’s your favorite candy bar being displayed, even harder to resist than one of our hot dogs.

RL Carriers NASCAR Hauler in Texas

Our visit to Carrollton, Texas

There’s a family owned business in Carrollton, Texas that manufactures these displays and ships them all over the United States and Canada. In addition to floor and pallet displays, our friends also make specialty packaging, security signs, banners, wall graphics and custom gift boxes. Since the displays are mass produced, they mostly ship full truckloads but this company also uses LTL shipping when they have smaller shipments.

You’ve probably seen their work in any number of stores you’ve visited, but never noticed it. Our drivers Wade and Nancy brought our NASCAR racecar and hauler to Carrollton recently, so we stopped in for a visit to see what they do.

R L Carriers Sales Staff

The R+L Carriers and Global Logistics team

Turns out most of them are racing fans – they really enjoyed our visit! The staff sat in the car, checked out the hauler and ate lunch with us. They also showed us around their facility.

We served 194 hot dogs that day and our team enjoyed the beautiful Texas weather. Here’s some of the R+L Carriers team catching some shade under the NASCAR Hauler – from the left Dave Barton, sales rep, Glen Carlson from R+L Global, driver Wade Bustle, and Chris Kujawa from R+L Global.

When you see one of our trucks heading down the road take a minute to think about all the types of businesses represented by the freight inside. Our friends in Carrollton are a great example of a family owned business going strong.

Do you know a family owned business making products we’ve all seen? Give them a shoutout here, or on our Facebook page. Tell them Wade and Nancy sent you.
