It wasn’t our NASCAR hauler, but another of our specially wrapped trucks that brought the Lima Company Memorial Eyes of Freedom paintings to the Ohio Courthouse on Friday for display through March 17, 2013. The Lima Company Memorial was painted by local artist Anita Miller. The memorial pays tribute to the Marine reserve unit based in Columbus that lost 22 men and women in service, and a Navy Corpsman in Iraq in 2005. Admission to this moving exhibit is free and open to the public.
Since its unveiling at the Ohio Statehouse in 2008, the Lima Company Memorial has traveled nationwide, including a visit to the 2011 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl where the paintings were on display inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome throughout game day. Visit our Facebook page photo gallery to see the paintings being set up at the Superdome.
