This time our NASCAR race car and hauler turned up in Oceanside, CA! We visited a major cable modem and electronics manufacturer there and more than 50 friends and families came out for hot dogs and to check out our race car. We had only one day to visit but in that short time we learned that Oceanside is a beautiful city with wonderful people! They thought we were pretty nice too. We can’t wait to go back.
What to do in Oceanside, CA?
Oceanside is the third largest city in San Diego County and located close to the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, the busiest military base in the United States! It boasts 3.5 miles of beautiful beaches, year long perfect weather and a 1,000 boat slip harbor. It is also the home to Oceanside Pier, the longest wooden pier on the western United States at 1,954 feet! When you get tired of looking at the water, look the other way – there’s something for everyone here!
Oceanside is close to major attractions like Disneyland, Sea World, and plenty of sports and culture activities. The nearby San Diego State University is home to the San Diego State University Aztecs, participants in the 2011 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl! That was a great game – remember?
